Superb bronze jewelry box imitating a book. This has complex patterns on the cover, the binding, the edge and the clasp. Erhard & Söhne was founded in 1844 by Gottlieb Erhard and his two sons, in Schwäbisch Gmünd, approximately 50 km east of Stuttgart, Baden-Wuttemberg, Germany. During its existence the company manufactured a wide variety of products, including haberdashery, silvered or gilded brass and bronze, dollhouse accessories and toys.
