Pretty view of a village in the Charlevoix region by the artist Vivian Maude Walker (1903-1994). This is a 20 by 4 inch oil on canvas.
Walker was born in Hawkesbury, Ontario. She received artistic training in the Montreal region, notably at the École des Beaux-Arts. She was a student of Adam Sherriff Scott and E. Stanley Turnbull (the latter in New York). His work includes eastern Canadian landscapes, urban scenes, portraits and floral still lifes.
