Pair of engravings “Napoleon and Josephine”
These magnificent hand-colored etchings show incredible meticulous work. The first is called “The Emperor in Grand Costume” and the second “The Empress in Petit Costume”. Several artists collaborated to create these works: the engravers Malbeste, Dupréel and Ribault did the engraving work. Subsequently, Jean-Baptiste Isabey and Charles Percier took care of the coloring and gilding of the works. Period around 1812. The paper size is 10 x 17 inches.
